RUHE is a recital of choral music of Schubert, that is rudely interrupted by people who want to talk about their voluntary enlistment in the SS in 1940.
A quest for harmony drove them at the time, just as it drives the singers now. As with any choir with a degree of ambition, anyone who sang out of tune was expelled from their ranks. Schubert's intoxicating choral music suddenly confronts us with fundamental questions about good and evil.
