A romantic story about love, distance and self-sacrifice.
The typical 19th-century monodrama Enoch Arden (Richard Strauss 1897 – orig. Alfred Tennyson) revolves around the castaway Enoch and his dearly beloved, but in the meantime remarried wife. Sculptor Koenraad Tinel translates this love triangle into ‘live’ drawings, while vocal performer Maja Jantar captures his movements on video and via sound design. Guy Vandromme performs the musical score full of rhythmic leitmotifs on a showpiece from Steinway & Sons.
